New Look Islanders Stadium Series

New York Islanders
Just a quick concept today, this is a Stadium Series recolour of the "New Look" Islanders concept from my NHL Double Series.

As a bonus to complete the set, here are my "New Look" concepts for the Devils, Rangers, and Flyers (these designs haven't been changed)...

See you in February!

Flyers, Halloween, and a Secret Template

Happy Halloween (in a few days)!

Philadelphia Flyers
What better way to celebrate Halloween (a few days early) than with a Flyers concept! They got new home and road jerseys this year but kept their existing third jersey. This is my take on what an updated third jersey could look like.

If you look closely you might notice I used a new template for the above concept. This new template will eventually replace my "Combo" template when Fanatics takes over next year (with any necessary modifications of course). In the meantime it should be considered a work in progress, as I may make changes if I discover any issues. Here's the link to the new template.

Enjoy your weekend!

Philadelphia Flyers - NHL Sock Series

Hello and happy Mother's Day!!!

Philadelphia Flyers
After the Flyers ditched their Cooperalls, they wore this sock design for a single season.

As a reminder here's how this series works, each concept reuses a sock design the team has worn at some point in their history. My challenge is to make something new that still matches those socks.

Up next are the Penguins in their old double blue colour scheme!

New Flyers

Philadelphia Flyers
For this Flyers concept, I just wanted to see what their jerseys would look like without their current sleeve design.

Quakers inspired Flyers Reverse Retro

Philadelphia Flyers
This was the obvious Flyers concept for this series, a Philadelphia Quakers jersey with orange and black reversed and the Flyers logo on the front.  The arms would probably look better with fewer stripes, but I wanted to keep it accurate to the original.

Thanks for visiting, and enjoy the outdoor NHL games this weekend!

Templates Added

Happy New Year!

This is just a quick update to say I've added the templates for the Centennial Classic and Stadium Series jerseys, which means the Templates page is once again up to date.

By the way, I probably won't continue to update these templates once the NHL switches to Adidas next year.  It will depend on how drastic the changes are, if the changes are minor (like if they just switch the Reebok logo for the Adidas logo) then I might keep updating these templates, but if the changes are major then I likely won't.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stadium Series

Happy Boxing Day!  Here's a Stadium Series concept.

2017 Stadium Series:
You might recognize the design of the Flyers jersey, as it's basically just a recoloured version of my "New Look" Flyers concept.  The Penguins jersey is based off of an old concept of mine as well, but that concept is from way back in 2013.

Also, I hope to get back to my NHL Double Series soon (I already have ideas for a couple of teams).

That is all!

Double Flyers

Has it really been 37 days since I last posted a concept for my NHL Double Series?  Yes it has, and that's much too long (sorry about that).  Anyways, here are the Flyers...

My Ideal Philadelphia Flyers:
I think the Flyers current jerseys are some of the best in the NHL, so I barely made any changes.  The biggest difference is both jerseys now use a white nameplate, so it only contrasts on the home jersey.  I also made the collar inserts the same colour as the rest of the jersey.

New Look Philadelphia Flyers:
The New Look concept provided a bit of a challenge, because I didn't want to use their normal sleeve design, but I still wanted it to fit the Flyers identity.  I decided to take their contrasting nameplates and make it part of the striping pattern.  I then made the end of those black yoke stripes match the shape of the wings in their logo, and did the same with the horizontal part of the four.

Have a good weekend!
