Double Senators

Hello again!

My Ideal Ottawa Senators:
For my ideal concept, I returned the Senators to a black home jersey, used their updated 2D logo as the primary, and put two sets of stripes on the sleeves (and socks).

New Look Ottawa Senators:
I also had this idea for a modern barber-pole pattern, using red and fading black stripes.  Those stripes are limited to a sleeve-length yoke on the white jersey, and I used the same logos as the previous concept (updated 2D logo on the front and the old peace tower logo on the shoulders).

Thanks for stopping by!

Double Bruins

Hey, happy Black Friday everybody!

My Ideal Boston Bruins:
My favourite Bruins jerseys are their 1967-74 set, which this concept is mostly based off of.  I did make a few small changes though, including adding serifs to the logo, and using their current name and number font.

New Look Boston Bruins:
I then wanted to try a concept using brown and gold (not yellow), so I made this.  For the primary logo I used their B on its own, and I kept the striping pattern fairly simple.

Have a nice weekend!

Team Canada Flashback and a New Blog

Welcome back folks!  I've got a Team Canada concept to share today, and then a quick announcement about a second blog I've created.

Team Canada:
Back in September 2013, Chris from Icethetics received a tip that Canada's 2014 Olympic team would have a black third jersey (along with a brief description of the jersey).  He then asked me to create a mock-up/prediction based off of that description.  In the end my mock-up (which you can see below) wasn't that close.  Nevertheless, I've brought back that design (with some updates) and turned it into the set of jerseys seen above.

And here was my original mock-up...
As you can see, it was a bit different from their actual third jersey.

Meanwhile, I've created a new blog called Snapshots with Steven.
The purpose of Snapshots with Steven is to use photos to help tell stories about interesting experiences.  The first post is all about the August 2017 total solar eclipse, both the good (the eclipse itself), and the bad (the gridlock afterwards).  Go check it out, and let me know what you think!

See you later!

Double Lightning

As promised, I'm back with a new concept for my NHL Double Series.

My Ideal Tampa Bay Lightning:
My "Ideal" concept is based off of the Lightning's current look but with a few changes, including adding contrasting yokes, using a brighter blue, removing any black, and (most importantly) bringing back the victory stripes.

New Look Tampa Bay Lightning:
The sleeves of my second concept feature a lightning bolt design, which connects to form a contrasting name-plate on the back of the jersey.  I also experimented with navy blue instead of royal blue, and used the circular bolt from their roundel as the primary logo.  The name and number fonts are the same on both concepts, as they seemed to fit both concepts well.

Have a good day!

62 Team Templates

Hello, and happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

As you can see in the above image, I've now made templates for all 62 home and road NHL Adidas jerseys.  They can all be found on the main Templates page.  Specialty jerseys, like the Toronto Arenas throwback (and any outdoor game jerseys), will come at a later date

Also, I've switched to a different image hosting site for all the template images.  With the former site they seemed to be losing some details (especially within the NHL shield in the collar, and sometimes with the collar laces), but that all should be fixed now.

Next up I'm going to get back to my NHL Double series, so I should have a concept to share on here fairly soon.

Team Templates and More

Hello there!  It's been a long time since my last post here (sorry about that).  Unfortunately I don't have a concept to share today (sorry again), although I'm hoping to get back to my NHL Double Series soon.  In the meantime, this is just a quick post with a couple of updates.

First of all, if you've been on the main Templates page lately you've probably noticed I've started to add all the Adizero team templates.  So far I've got 22 teams completed, and the other 9 teams will be coming sometime later (I'd like to have them all done before the start of the NHL season, but I'm not making any promises).

Also, I've made an Adidas Adizero version of the Reebok Edge template from SportsLogos.Net (the template from the forum's Paint Users Paradise thread).  All I really did (basically) was put the inner stitching of my Combo template inside of the SportsLogos.Net template.  This template can be found on it's own page, called Extra Templates (there's a few different versions of the template for the different yoke styles and stuff).

That's all for today, hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back again!

Simple Predators

Hello there, here's another concept!

Nashville Predators:
The Nashville Predators simplified their jerseys with the switch to Adidas, but they went too far and now their jerseys are bland.  This concept is my attempt at keeping the simplicity of their new jerseys, while avoiding the blandness.

So long!

New(ish) Storm

Welcome back, folks!

Carolina Hurricanes:
I've always been a fan of the Hurricanes red equipment, it makes them more unique among red and black teams.  But I also think their new home jersey would look better with black equipment, so that's what I used (at least for the red jersey, the white jersey keeps the red pants).  Additionally, I made the widths of the stripes consistent between the two jerseys, and added the sublimated hurricane-flag-pattern to the road jersey's hem.

Thanks for stopping by!

Old Flames

Hello again!

Calgary Flames:
I was planning on tweaking the Flames current jerseys (removing the flags and side panels, and adding more of a hem stripe), but I decided to just go with their retro jerseys instead.

Have a nice weekend!

New Devils

For the second day in a row, I'm back with a new concept (that may by a new record for me).  This time I'm taking on the New Jersey Devils.

New Jersey Devils:
I wish the Devils hadn't made any changes to their previous jerseys, but here's my attempt at making their new set work.  I changed the ratio of their arm stripes to resemble their last striping pattern, and then added a bit more along the hem.

I'll probably do a few more concepts like this tweaking some of the new Adidas jerseys, and then I'll eventually get back to my NHL Double Series.

Goodbye!

Orange Oilers and Adizero Template

Hello!  I have some template news and a concept to share today, let's start off with the template.

It took me a few weeks to get around to it, but I've now updated my Combo template for the new Adidas Adizero jerseys.  Below is a standard blank version, and on the Templates page you'll find a few more variations for different yoke shapes and stuff like that.  I also plan on adding team specific versions at some point, but that will come at a later date.

By the way, the Reebok Edge version of this template can now be found on this page here.

Edmonton Oilers:
I created this concept to test out the new Adizero template, it's basically what I was hoping the Oilers new jerseys would look like.

That's all for now!

Canada Day

Happy Canada Day!  To celebrate, here's a Team Canada concept I quickly made today.

Team Canada:
This concept is heavily inspired by Canada's 2002 Olympic hockey jerseys.  I have fond memories of those jerseys, but I also think they're slightly dated so I tried to update them here.

See you later, I'm heading off to go watch some fireworks now.

Double Ducks

Hey there!  It's been a while (sorry about that), but I'm finally back with a new set of concepts for my NHL Double Series.

My Ideal Anaheim Ducks:
This may be unpopular, but my ideal Ducks logo is their current primary (not the beloved Mighty Duck mask).  I also went with their current number font and colour scheme, and then used a striping pattern which combines their different eras.

New Look Anaheim Ducks:
I also wanted to try the Ducks in a double green and orange colour scheme, so that's what I did here.  Their Mighty Duck logo returns as the primary logo, although it's now on top of a chest stripe (otherwise the green triangle blended into the green jersey too much).

Thanks for visiting, and have a happy NHL-jersey-unveiling-day tomorrow!

Double Blackhawks

Howdy folks!

My Ideal Chicago Blackhawks:
The only modification I made here was adding laces to the collars.  Their current jerseys are probably my favourite set in the NHL, hence the lack of changes.

New Look Chicago Blackhawks:
This concept started with just the idea of red pants with a black jersey.  I tried to make the road jersey fit with the red pants as well, but then decided two pairs of pants was the best option.  The striping pattern of the jerseys is somewhat inspired by their jerseys from the 1940's.  The primary logo uses their old roundel but without the outer ring, just to try something different.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Double Canucks

Hello again!

My Ideal Vancouver Canucks:
The Canucks are my favourite team, so I've thought a lot about their uniforms.  If it were up to me, I'd stick with their current striping pattern (but slightly tweaking the thickness of the some stripes), then I'd promote Johnny Canuck to the primary logo, switch to a block font, and add green to the collars.

New Look Vancouver Canucks:
My more experimental concept uses the two shades of blue from the Canucks 1997-2007 jerseys, a striping pattern somewhat influenced by their infamous "Flying-V" jerseys, and Johnny Canuck once again as the primary logo.

Good day!

Templates Added

Happy New Year!

This is just a quick update to say I've added the templates for the Centennial Classic and Stadium Series jerseys, which means the Templates page is once again up to date.

By the way, I probably won't continue to update these templates once the NHL switches to Adidas next year.  It will depend on how drastic the changes are, if the changes are minor (like if they just switch the Reebok logo for the Adidas logo) then I might keep updating these templates, but if the changes are major then I likely won't.

Thanks for stopping by!
