This is my final concept from the Jersey Nerds' Concept Champs Cup. We were tasked with coming up with a PWHL Winter Classic concept. I chose New York vs Ottawa, using a diagonal sash for New York and horizontal stripes for Ottawa.
The Fanatics version of my latest template is out now! I'm calling this the Fusion template, because it's a fusion of the templates from SportsLogos.Net and NHLUniforms.com.
The Templates page has 12 blank templates, plus team templates for Anaheim, Los Angeles, and Utah (with more team templates coming soon).
My first ever soccer concept! This was another challenge from the Jersey Nerds' Concept Champs Cup, we were tasked with creating a logo and jerseys for the Pittsburgh expansion franchise in the USL W League. I chose Traverse as the team name, and included a bridge in the logo (using a soccer ball pattern as the support structure).
This concept is one of my entries for the Jersey Nerd's Concept Champs Cup. Our challenge was to create a concept for any team using two colours the they haven't used before. I chose the Ducks using kelly green and forest green. The stripes are inspired by the sticks in their new Mighty Duck logo.
I make Bruins concepts more often than most teams, since they have such a rich jersey history to pull inspiration from. This concept uses their logo from the 2016 Winter Classic.
In the last decade the Avalanche have ditched their bigfoot logo and minimized the use of black. This concept reverses both those decisions by using the foot as the main logo and black as the primary colour.
I was inspired to make this concept by a comment on Instagram by 2r0phy, who requested a black Colorado jersey using the bigfoot logo.
For this concept I isolated the head of the husky (or wolf?) from the Nordiques unused logo. The jersey uses contrasting upper sleeves as a nod to the sleeves on the unused jerseys.
The Golden Knights have worn six different jerseys in their existence, each using a different base colour. They could keep that streak going with a fauxback jersey using yellow instead of gold.
I can't say I care for Columbus' current cannon jersey, so I created this concept which uses "Steel Blue" as the primary colour and the cannon sans-roundel as the primary logo.
Using the Washington D.C. flag as inspiration for a Capitals concept is one of the most common tropes in the jersey concept community. This is my take on the idea.
The stripes on the socks of Vegas' Winter Classic uniform were more interesting than the stripes on the jersey, so I reused those socks and created a new jersey to match (like I did for the concepts in my NHL Sock Series).
I've only made one Panthers concept in the last five years, which is not nearly enough. This concept is a somewhat traditional take on Florida's original red sweater, using the head from their modern leaping-panther as the logo.
This concept is my attempt to fix the Islanders 2011-14 third jersey, which I think was the worst jersey ever worn in the NHL. I had to change almost everything, including the striping pattern, logo, and colour scheme (I ditched the black and grey for navy blue and white).
This might be the stupidest concept I've ever made. The 24 sleeve stripes represent the 24 Cups won by the Canadiens, each stripe is the colour of the jersey they were wearing when they won, and the thinner gaps between stripes equals Cups won in consecutive years. The socks use the stripes representing their consecutive Cups in the late 50's and 70's.
The stripes on the sleeves and chest of this Canucks concept come from the skate in their "Skate" logo. I then used the V from their "Flying-V" jerseys as the logo.
Stripes are in style these days, just ask the Sharks or Rangers. So I added a bunch of thin stripes to the sleeves of this Senators concept, hinting at the barber-pole stripes the original Senators were famous for.
The Flames are the finale of this Foursome Series (for real this time). Dark red and yellow are the colours of the main set, while the second set adds black and uses Blasty as the logo.
As a reminder, here are the rules I was following for this series:
All jerseys must use the same striping pattern and number font (# of outlines can vary).
Each jersey must be a different colour.
White isn't mandatory as the base for the road jerseys (any light colour is allowed).
The primary set and alternate set must use different colour schemes.
The primary set and alternate set must use different primary logos.
The home and road jerseys use the Kachina colours and logos, while the alternates use "Brick Red" and "Sand" and the howling-coyote logo. Both sets use the same pants.
The original rendition of this concept had a striping pattern that was nearly identical to the Rangers' 1976-78 jerseys. I fixed that by flipping the colours on the sleeves, but now it's very similar to my New Look Panthers concept.
The striping pattern of these jerseys are based off of their RCAF Flyers inspired heritage jerseys. The main set uses a double blue colour scheme, while there is a "Fighter Jet Grey" third and a "Whiteout" fourth jersey.
I chose to use the Predators' Winter Classic logo for the primary set, while I paired their old skull logo with a double grey and gold colour scheme for the alternates.
I thought my Maple Leafs concept was the finale of this Foursome series, but it turns out I had (at least) one more left. The primary jerseys use the colours and logo from Anaheim's "Mighty" era, while I isolated the duck-billed goalie mask for the logo of the alternates.
For the finale of my foursome series I used Toronto's traditional sock stripes on the sleeves, and then added a matching St. Pats set which includes leather coloured gear.
